In cooperation with the Monmouth Pickleball Club and to honor the legacy of Dwight Macock, Autism MVP is proud to announce that its annual Pickleball Social on June 20, 2024 raised more than $17,000 to benefit a new endowed scholarship program with one of the foundation’s partner universities.
Dwight was President of the Monmouth Pickleball Club for many years until his death on May 10, 2023. He served as a player, teacher, volunteer, tournament organizer, and friend to hundreds of local players. Like nearly everything else in his life, his love for the game was only outweighed by the joy he found in helping others enjoy it as well. His legacy was the inspiration for this unique and impactful event and those to follow.
This fun, social event was open to all levels of play, making it truly enjoyable for everyone. Instruction and a Pickleball demo were provided by area pros and paddles and balls were provided for those who needed them.
The event was made possible by the host venue, The New Shrewsbury Racquet Club along with sponsors Circle Hyundai, Bright Achievements, Central Reach, Happy Dad Seltzer, The Sauce Pizzeria, Oceanport, Jettprep, DJ James Strzz, Jared G.- This is my Bartender, and Kitch Pickleball.
