In 2024, we held the Inaugural Pickleball Social and raised $17,000! That money has allowed us to create the newly endowed Autism MVP Dwight Macock Memorial Scholarship fund at Rutgers University.
Again, in cooperation with the Monmouth Pickleball Club and to honor the legacy of Dwight Macock, Autism MVP is proud to present the 2nd Annual Pickleball Social for Autism MVP. The proceeds of this event we will continue to fund the Dwight Macock Memorial Scholarship and allow us to deliver more scholarships to deserving students to assist in furthering their education focused on serving the Autism community.
Dwight was President of the Monmouth Pickleball Club for many years until his death on May 10, 2023, and served as a player, teacher, volunteer, tournament organizer, and friend to hundreds of local players. Like nearly everything else in his life, his love for the game was only outweighed by the joy he found in helping others enjoy it as well.
Autism MVP provides scholarships to graduate students at Rutgers, Monmouth and Temple who are pursuing careers that will improve the daily life skill outcomes for individuals with autism.
Our mission is to increase the number of autism-focused educators and therapists to meet the current and future needs of students on the autism spectrum.
Be a Pickleball MVP – a fun, social event that will get you on the court. ALL levels of play – groups of four and brackets will be set-up for the newbie, beginner/advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced players. Instruction will be provided if you have never played! Paddles and balls will be provided if you need them.
Share the news that you will be playing and easily get your friends and family to support your efforts through our system – easy to do and great for the cause!
